' Palm Rock ' !! // 'something for the weekend'

 PALM ROCK

Wednesdays ensemble made ' Outfit Of The Week ' this week, and all week I've been wearing a one piece garment so either a Dress, Playsuit or Dungs (check out my Instagram: @sevenstylesaweek for more updates on my Summer One-piece Week.)

Displaying photo 2.JPGDisplaying photo 5.JPGThis playsuit I bought some time around last year in the sale from Topshop, I've only wore it a handful of times seen as though I have so many clothes but its so comfortable and easy breezy. The print on it has little palm trees and whats great about it is that you can make this as pretty and as girly as you want but with the cut of the top I always like to rock this one up a little.

Even though my favorite color is pink I don't tend to buy many clothes in it so when I do wear it I do like to toughen it up so I don't feel like a little girl.

This look felt very 90's with my new choker which was something like £3 from a shop on Ebay.

The Jacket I've had for sometime now too which was in the sale at Primark maybe last year but I don't quite remember, but the boots are fairly new in and when I bought them I was thinking ' boots + summer = gross feet ' haha, but actually there not bad with them being ankle boots and they are the comfiest pair I have purchased in a while with the heel not being so high, I went out for the day to Lichfield then hopped on the train over to B-town all day in these and they didn't hurt or pinch once so they were a good find!

Something for the weekend.....

3 weddings down 1 to go!

Saturday night I was at a wedding reception and its the third one I've been to this year. Quite frankly I'm all wedded out now but I like the 'playing dress up' part. I got a quick snap of my outfit before I went out here's what I pulled together.....

Displaying photo 4.JPGDisplaying photo 2.JPG          Dress - Zara

I loved putting this outfit together because the Dress is so detailed and so pretty with the lace and I'm in love with blue clothing items at the moment. The Jacket gives the ensemble sophistication and it looks very Chanel - like. These items are both from Zara (meadowhall - sheffield) and I got them in the sale last month. I'm not so sure they will still have them in but I have scanned through there website and they have some good sale bargains on so go check them out.

More importantly let's discuss my choice of footwear.....

     Shoes - £25 - Boohoo.com

I really wanted to link these but Boohoo seem to have taken them off the website so maybe they were like a limited addition shoe as for how much they are detailed they were pretty cheap. Late on in June I saw them in Look magazine and I was like ' WOWZERS ' I had to have them for that statement shoe factor. I couldn't believe they were only £25, if you was talking Louboutin add a couple of zero's to the price tag and they'd totally be designer... and ridiculously expensive to so THANK YOU Boohoo!

Not really much of a shoe for this occasion as they really clashed with the outfit and I wouldn't say they shouted out sophisticated, but I wanted the color pop trick and the tassel color matched the dress so that was a bonus! I like the fact they clashedand matched with the outfit at the same time as I'm not always a big fan of dressing prim and proper so the more fashion statement I can make the better.

So if your going to wedding or a special occasion and want to go classy but not boring do what I did and style clash with shoes or accessories. Don't be afraid to try something new and look a little different from the sort of guests at a typical occasion.

'Sports Luxe'!

Bag - River Island

New week, new dress! This lovely LBD I've had for a while hanging in my closet, I'm actually trying to wear all my items with tags still on them (yes, I'm bad I know!) before I buy anything new seeing as though right now I should be focusing on buying furniture instead of fashion items... what can I say I'm a full on CLOTHES HORSE!

The dress is very simple but with the v-neck in a different relaxed material and the white stripe it makes the dress sportish, hence the 'sport luxe' title. Tying in with the monochrome garment, I picked out my white boohoo heels and black cat eye sunnies. The dress was great and so comfortable to wear and I felt body confident in this, hence the OUTFIT OF THE WEEK. To add slight color to the street style I used my yellow River Island messenger shoulder bag, which actually and apparently my 2 year old sister picked out for me when it was my birthday, good choice Molls!

' Boho Chic' !

To start the week off at work on the first day back on Tuesday after the weekend I decided to kick my style off with a very festival / bohemian looking outfit. The dress I got last week from my local Topshop in the sale at £25 which is a gorgeous ivory flare dress with sleeves that cut just below the elbows.., great floaty dress for a 'fat day'. Haha!!!

Dress - Topshop

The boots I have had for quite a while now but they worked great with the dress and I'm usually always pulling out the black boots so to wear my tan knee boots was a nice change, as the suns getting warmer little ankle boots or cowboy boots would rock this style outfit too. I kept accessories very earthy with my wooden bangle and green stone necklace and ring.

Boots - Newlook

The head piece I handmade myself using materials from my local haberdashery a while ago. The little selection of satin flowers and bows I just glued on with fabric glue. These are so fun to make as you can create them as minimal or as extravagant as you want and make them a one off but recently I am getting into wearing these floral garlands so you can buy really nice ones too if your not to handy with crafts.
