' Grunge Vibes 'N' High Public Platforms'

A couple of weeks ago on one hungover morning let me add, I woke up and scanned through Instagram only to find I had lots of 'likes' and around 50 more followers only that morning, I kind of thought it had to be an error on the site but it turns out I had won a competition that I'd entered a few days ago!

It was a pair of shoes by Public desire, to celebrate their upcoming launch party they teamed up with some pro bloggers to win a pair of PB's amazing statement shoes. I was so happy that morning,
1. Because of my huge love for shoes
2. Because I was very grateful & honoured to be picked & I've never won anything in my life!
3. Errrr, hello a COMPLIMENTARY pair of shoes, this hardly ever happens!!!

This is them - meet Lana (worth £24.99)

The blogger who collaborated with Public Desire in my win was Gracie Francesca , she's a Blogger, Youtuber , Female Empowerment Advocate & a Mental Health Awarness Worker... Phew! How does she fit it all in. She's one amazing woman with her own sense of style who stands up for what she believes in. She tweets almost everyday & does lot's of meets - check her out in twitter @graciefrancesca ...
Her blog is UglyFaceOfBeauty go to www.graciefrancesca.com for great posts of fashion pieces, instagram photos, to tips on how to be happier. She covers it all. So THANK YOU Gracie for selecting me as your winner for the PB Competition, I love the shoes.....

My outfit here consisted of ripped denim, sheer fabric and a little leather. I felt like I had the grungy vibe going on today (hense the title). Because the shoes are a high platform & black it makes them seem a little tough & fierce looking so I wanted to add to that with the rest of my ensemble, the jeans I bought from Primark for £13 & I applied the ripped knees myself as I thought I'd go all designer for the night, haha. But what I love about shoes like this is that you can make them 'prettified' by teaming them with girly pants or dresses. Public desire is my new found fave one stop shoe shop their shoes are pretty amazing & I'm so glad I was lucky enough to win a pair!!

' I Heart Harleyville ' - Collab with Rock On Ruby!

This was my outfit for the weekend, I went out for the day to B-town shopping in the amazing Bullring & Birmingham city centre. Me & my boyfriend had Sunday lunch at a amazing pub called - The Old Joint Stock, it was too good! One of the most exciting things about this day was my new Grafea bag ' Candy ' getting her first outing! It received quite a lot of head turns & compliments, I think it was worth my boyfriends purchase.

More things NEW with this outfit was my pretty lil' booties by the Shoe Cult at Nasty Gal. I love the floral printed fabric and lace-up at the front and the surprising comfort breaking them in. I've been after these shoe boots for weeks and weeks, only the other day I looked & they were in the sale BONUS! But when they arrived via UPS I was one of the unlucky ones that got stung with the import bill so it was a good job I did manage to haul them the sale!!!

NOW, let's talk business.... THE T-SHIRT :- I contacted the lovely ladies at Rock On Ruby from girlynightsout.com to collaborate with them as part of their blogger programme & styled my own tee. I don't own many grey tops so I thought I would add more of that colour to my wardrobe & opted for  red writing with my own personal print.....

'' I love this city, but my heart is in HARLEYVILLE ''

The reason for this is because it is something very personal to me, & my life is about to have a slight change! Currently I live in Derbyshire & work as a Master Colour Technician at a 5-star salon in Chesterfield called Harleys Hairdressing. I've been there for 8 years now and it's been like a second home & everybody is like family so its sad to say that around November I will be leaving my home town to move to Birmingham as my boyfriend has been woking there for 6 months & I have wanted to move for a while & my interest is more with fashion as I love clothes, shoes & my new found love & passion for blogging so I just wanted to make this tee a personal quote to reflect on my life & the changes in my path.

' That Fesitval Feeling '

This Playsuit has been one of my best summer buys this season and at only £13 it was a total steal from Primark. It's the easiest all in one to go to the loo in, whip it over your head then pull it down and your good to go when nature calls. I don't own many garments with a halter-neck, I'm a little fussy with that style, but I loved the floatiness of this little number it's mega comfy and the prints subtlety eye catching. Watching a lot of Leeds & Reading Festival on T.V & being miserable in the fact that I would have loved to go to Benicassim this year I'm down with the ' Fest Fashion ' so I boho'd the Playsuit up a little with a long knitted sleeveless shrug type item, mixed with a 90's choker and little black ankle boots to go more grunge. A backpack style bag is always essential when it comes to this trend!
