 The Winona Cami Dress

" This blows " Winona mumbled as she stormed upstairs. Grounded for a whole month, her parents punishment to her for blasting out ' The Headmasters Ritual ' by The Smiths on her phone in the middle of an assembly to introduce new rules to the school. That and she had a weeks worth of detention. Her parents were so embarrassed.

It was the famous loft party that night, where once a year the popular crowd of senior year got together for loud music, loud fun and of corse, under age drinking.

She'd picked out the perfect outfit too, her trusty leather jacket with fringed detail, black suede ankle boots with gold buckles and 'The Dress'! The one she'd been saving for a special occasion. A silky backless strappy cami with a beautiful rose design in pink, red and burgundy tones. 

It was a shame to waste this opportunity to wear it, all for the sake of being grounded. " fuck it " she thought. As if she was going to miss this big night, besides all she needed to do was throw on her party clothes. The sneaking out would be the tricky part.....

Aaargh, so it was pretty windy shooting this post so the pictures haven't come out as well as I would have liked them which is pretty annoying but I've realised you can always rely on the whether when it comes to blogging in A/W. This piece from The Style Loft is absolutely beautiful and one of their best, from the lovely satin feel, gorgeous print and strappy detailed back. I teamed this up with a leather jacket, ankle boots and a bowler hat with gold statement accessories for a pretty / indie vibe but this dress is so versatile that you can team it with pretty much anything.

Its a great party dress for a night out or special occasion with a smart jacket or shrug but it can go so far as to really dress it down with an oversized cardigan, jeans underneath and creeper shoes or dolly flats. Perhaps even for work put a shirt underneath and team with tights and court shoes and a satchel. Whatever style your rocking I think you will get much pleasure out of this dress, as it works for the glam girls and you can rock it up if your the dark and brooding type.

' The Aimee Playsuit '

It was a late afternoon on an Autumn day, the sun was still hovering in the sky but the crisp air had a chill like winter was approaching faster than the last. 

Aimee was heading out to the car when she felt the cold air brush past her sleeveless shoulders, she was going to meet friends and was running late. 

Her shoulder length curls stayed in place as she headed to the car with the help of the black fedora hat she wore on her head, and the black faux fur gilet kept he surprisingly warm. 

She opened the door to her head-turning vehicle, which was a loud colour mixed between puke green and lime. All her friends had brand new cars like Mini Coopers and BMWs, but her love for American classic cars and the colour green made her purchase the 1968 Buick Skylark, which she's been driving around in for nearly 3 years. 

As she threw her hat, bag and fur gilet on the long front seat she looked down at her printed ensemble. 

At that moment she realised the car complimented the eye catching colours of her comfy playsuit which she would usually throw on in Summer but had teamed with tights and she boots for this autumnal day. 

As she hit her foot on the accelerator and sped up the road, the Buick made a louder growl than an angry lion in the jungle, walking onlookers stared with frustrated faces at the noise but she didn't care...because in her playful printed romper and colour co-ordinated vehicle she felt good!

Yesterday shooting this look i wanted to test wearing this playful romper on an autumn day to see how practical it was for the colder months ahead of us. The print is an aztec style pattern with an array of colours and the material is soft and light, it would be easy to wear for spring / summer, but teamed with tights and fur this totally worked for this autumn afternoon.

I was just about warm enough to bare the arms but on a colder day you might want to try teaming it with a long sleeved top underneath and thicker tights or if your more daring, wet look leggings.

I went with a fur gilet and heeled shoe boots but this would look great with your fave comfiest cardigan or smart jacket teamed with sneakers or boots for an off duty look.
